Zomato takes 26% commission from restaurants and around same from customers under surge fee, bad weather charges, restaurant 1cm out of delivery distance, packaging charges and random misc charges. Zomato is earning from all this but they burn cash through ridiculous advertisements, staff training (high attrition) and discount offers. Zomato and Swiggy will be the destruction cause of Food industry. Taking everyone down with them.
