First I should tell that, I really dont know how the config should be. Friends say go for dual core - 512 ram - 160 gb hard disk. I really dont know what is that 1.6 ghz. mhz , mother board etc :wall:
Is it a good deal. I am planning to go fot it. Any suggestions 🙂

Intel Original 945 Motherboard
Intel has announced EOL (EndOfLife) for this board. Please try other series. (Intel® Motherboards)

Does the above offer include an original copy of Windows? If not its probably not really worth it...if you do get Windows (XP or Vista) it is probably worth it... although I would recommend getting 2 GB RAM and at least 160 GB Hard disk with DVD writer these days 🙂Actually I dont like it because the CPU is not latest "Core 2 Duo" 😛 edit: yes motherboard is also old...A friend of mine recently (few weeks ago) got a quote for assembled PC for Rs 30k all inclusive (no Windows of course), this has Core 2 Duo 2.66 Ghz, 2 GB RAM, 160 GB Hard Disk, DVD writer, 19 inch LCD, onboard graphics, speakers with subwoofer...i always prefer/recommend assembled unless you need/get original installation of Windows...best solution: either get assembled PC or get a good Dell or HP model...

There is an advert for Del 530s desktop in TOI (Bombay). It has decent config (C2D, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB HDD, 19inch LCD, Vista Home Edition) Price is 28k

thank u for ur replies 🙂

so what are you getting finally?

I have noted manu1991's parts pricing. and by next month i ll buy them... 🙂

also, in manu's config u can save around 300 bucks for the keyboard and mouse if u go for other brands...and i don't think u'd need the speakers...they're obsolete these days, at least for me...

dont go for zenith or hcl or for god sake any other indian pc manufacturer. if you are going to buy an assembled go for either HP or Dell. the best is to find a reliable assembler or a friend and get a custom made machine.

I have a zenith PC working flawlessly for the past 5 yrs..i have also owned HCL pc's in the past..none of them gave me any probs
