YouTube Music pisses on free users by going audio only

YouTube Music is removing video watching ability from the free tier of the app from next month â at least in Canada.

Ability to watch Music videos is going away for free users in Canada from November 3. The limitation will be expanded to other countries soon. Let's see if they do that in India as well.
 
Looks like it finally plays local versions of downloaded songs even if you are connected to the Internet. Was so stupid earlier that it streamed songs that were downloaded to your device as well.

To make things simpler for fans, we've worked with artists to unify their songs, albums and videos under one Official Artist Channel. Your artist subscriptions and notifications will soon be moved to Official Artist Channels, and you'll be able to manage Official Artist Channel subscriptions like any other channel subscription. Your current secondary artist channel subscriptions will become inactive.

By giving you one artist channel to subscribe to, it will be easier for you to keep up with your favourite artists and their music!
