You need to install software to use bsnl dsl?

One of the forum members said that you need to install some software to use bsnl's dsl. Where do you d/l this software from? Also, what OS does this client work on? Is the software buggy? Will the dsl work without this software?Just wondering.. is this "software" the drivers for the usb dsl modem?

regarding the software,its PPPOE098.exe which i got from the calcuttatelephoes site,its not necessary in xp,u can get it by connection wizard also.no,its not the driver for the modem.
