No offline sales for now: Motorola - The Times of India

Amit Boni, the India business head of Motorola, said the company would continue its exclusive partnership with e-commerce company Flipkart.
"It is important that when you take a strategic bet, you stand by it and make it work. That's what we are doing with the Flipkart partnership. You need to look into other channels of sales only when your present channel is not sound enough," Boni told TOI.

Motorola has opened an experience center in Bangalore. I guess they just give demos and support but no sale.

Even my ipad2 Wifi doesn't have gps. I don't remember missing it.

depends on the requirement. a tablet with gps can be used as a navigation device with Nokia here on it. no need for data download. better than using a phone.

gps location for location apps is determined through wifi pretty well.

For exact gps for travelling, its possible to share that(gps) through connecting a phone to MiPad. Will take some work(20mins) but certainly doable.

still. gps is something that you expect these devices to have. it is never something that i would check for when going through the specs of a phone or tablet! 🙂
