do what any logical person would already be doing. using a VPN/tor to access content that might get him in trouble otherwise.

Meh! Dont have budget for a good VPN, this rulling gonna get struck down faster than aadhar, it's porn ? ?

not sure how cheap vpns would have to become to get around that excuse. pia costs less than 4 dollars per month on yearly payment iirc. you have 5 device support. so even if you find one other friend to share your account, your costing per month is 160 rupees. and let's not ignore the fact that i offered to share my own pia account in case you needed it for casual usage. and of course, some services like protonvpn have free accounts with some restrictions.

Ya bhai thanks for it, but VPN is not the answer to such things Bhai, it should not happen in 1st place.

And regarding privacy, VPN company is just another PC/HDD still storing users information even if they claim not to.

in this particular case... it's not the government or the private company that is enforcing a ban on such content. it's a high court. a lot of things should not happen in the first place. but it is happening and no one is going to challenge it so it is probably going to become permanent in the near future.

in this particular case, you are not trying to hide your identity. you are just accessing content that is blocked when accessed directly. so the question of privacy does not arise. it's just an additional benefit.

I don't think this is ever gonna be permanent, specially not in india. Seems like temperoray shut down.

No one will get trouble while accessing ban sites. Problem arises when sharing openly.

It is like uploading homemade p*rn in internet not crime in india, but sharing in social apps like whatsapp is crime.
