The Reserve Bank of India has made it mandatory for banks to implement Aadhaar authentication for card transactions at merchant locations.
The central bank said "all new card's present infrastructure" has to be enabled for recent security measures, including an embedded EMV chip and a mandatory PIN, besides Aadhaar validation at point of sale (PoS) terminals.
Now Aadhaar link mandatory for card transactions at merchant locations

 :Shoot:

Oh no.. (Runs out to get Aadhaar card made)
I dont think they will be able to get it implemented....What about foreigners wanting to use their international cards here - Do they need to get their Aadhar card made first 😛

ATMs 'll be more crowded. I always prefer paying in cash even at petrol bunks. My cc is used only for online transactions ...

lol. so what are they going to do? take my retina scan whenever i go to eat dosa at a south indian restaurant?

Just in:Bribes made easy. Submitting details of Aadhar cards while taking or receiving bribes is now mandatory. That will ensure smooth transaction. Bribe once or bribe thrice...you will never have to think twice!

"This new requirement is a challenge as we have very basic thumb print and reading devices. There is no service provider that manufactures such machines in bulk." Since the biometric validation is mandatory for new machines, most private banks may stop installing PoS terminals at merchant outlets, he said.
Great. RBI ko bolo Rahul Gandhi ki tarah behave na kare.
