I am staying in Bangalore. I have applied for Hathway broadband connection. They are providing me with a cable modem. I have multiple devices that needs to access the broadband(Smart phone and laptop). I prefer having a wifi setup. Please suggest me a good wireless router to achieve it.
1) The wireless router should have a USB port to connect my externally powered external hard disk. So that I can access the data in my hard disk in my network.
2) If possible, please suggest a router, where I can install DD WRT firmware. I like to experiment with things.
3) If the router can take a 3G dongle, it would be great.
4) My budget is around a 3000. If needed, I can extend another 1000.
I heard i have to login to Hathway site every time, I want to use internet. Is there any work around for this? Some script/confguration in router to login automatically, when the router starts? I hear many things about Hathway connection. If there is anyone using Hathway in Bangalore(SG Palya area, near christ school), please give review. Once I get the connection, I will share my experiences.
