Windows 7 Professional vs Ultimate

My laptop is running Win7 Pro i think but am thinking of doing reinstall , anyone used both ultimate and Pro version of Windows is there any performance difference in terms of using:

Google chrome, Wifi File Sharing over SMB between the two, Ram Management, Opening of APps ?


I don't want win 10.

Performance was never the differentiating feature between Ultimate and Pro versions of Windows 7.

No performance difference at all, the real difference is between a regular hard disk and a ssd on which windows is installed.

I used windows 7 in the pastthere is no difference between 2 virsions

thank you all 🙂 i was running update on win 7 pro, normal win 7 updater will do right, don't need to do any outside install ?
it will stay on service pack 1 ?

in 2018 are we getting any monthly update on win 7 ? as last update this auto update has given was of 2016 KB3177467

there are lot of updates and you will new every month.

Just don't download win 10 update and meltdown, spectre fix may impact your pc performance.

After this update KB3177467, 2016 win 7 pro update finder keeps showing no updates.

Does it say meltdown, spectre fix ?

just keep update options to check for and do not auto install.

you will starting getting updates notifications after few days.
