Upgraded i5 Acer laptop today. Took about 2.5 hrs but went thru without any glitches. This laptop has a SSD, I shudder to think how much time a machine with a HDD will take.

Hmm. At 24% installation of the os it suddenly started downloading something which went on for sometime then reverted back to the installation process.

Did you opt for installing updates as well?

No, I didn't see any such option. Maybe because I checked for updates in win 10 first. There was only some update for Intel something can't remember what.

I think when triggered from windows update, it automatically takes the updates.

Also noticed that in edge browser the default search engine was set to Google in win 10, it's retained that in win 11 too. So far.😝
