Which DNS is the Best ?

I am using Cloudflare 1.0.0.3 & 1.1.1.3.

I installed YogaDNS and saw a gazillion DNS servers listed in it.

Which one is better Quad9 DNS or Cloudflare DNS?

Does DNS server change matter critically or is it overhyped?

Test a few known encrypted dns servers and use what works well. I personally use and recommend NextDNS.

NextDNS is not free. 😥

It is completely free as a DNS Service. They have extra features like you can block ads where you get 300,000 queries per month on free accounts. But DNS service itself is completely free.

I use this on my PC

Works great.

If you do need the extra features, you can easily create two or more accounts and switch between the profiles if you run out of DNS queries.

I converted to NextDNS 🙂 . Scary thing is that it is logging everything I browse! In the log tab, I can see every URLs I browsed.

It helps in checking if some domain that's not loading for you was blocked because of some block list. And it can be disabled from settings. Also enable Enable Cache Boost in settings!

you know who else can see that data ? your DNS provider (i know about no-logging policy) and your ISP from SNI if a site is using https if its http plain text then well no fancy stuff required.
