Two questions here1) When do you think Google's market value will cross Microsoft's market value? (if it does overtake)2) When do you think Google's sales will cross Microsoft's sales? (if it does overtake)Thanks
 
google would find it tough to overtake microsoft unless microsoft's earnings fall down and they would eventually. they really cannot depend upon sales of office and windows os for very long. tide is turning. web is the future. and you just need a browser to access the web.
 
I doubt if google would overtake microsoft ever . Not for next 20-25 years or so .. and maybe till that time google's market value might decrease ..
 
Theres little competition for MS. But creating competition for Google would be easier since google is primarily web based. So google is not even guaranteed to remain #1 in their field in future, let alone overtaking MS.
 
unless the future is mostly web based. computer is nothing but an extension of the network which houses all the components which are currently present in a CPU.distributed computing just might be a possibility in the future.
