For a second I read it as if Govt wants Whatsapp to remove the entire privacy policy and I was like. Makes sense. If Cowin doesn't need a privacy policy, so why does Whatsapp?

Since May 15 deadline has gone, has anybody (who didn't accept the new policy) noticed any significant changes in their whatsapp services?

Yes. They've blocked incoming and outgoing calls for me since the past 3 days. I'm able to send/receive messages for now, including voice and other media messages. I guess they'll soon shut down that too. Backups to Gdrive aren't working either.

I haven't checked calls, but backups are still working for me.

It's just pure blackmail. They say they won't delete the account, for marketing purposes of course, but they'll stop the entire app dead in its tracks, just to get us to agree to their terms. This is why we need anti-trust rules and better competition.

Personally I highly doubt such orgs.. At the end its all about money. Whomsoever pays higher, the outcome will be tweaked accordingly.....

fact checking services do not just post fake/real stamps on stories. they provide details of their investigation. snopes is a good and old example.
