Hi,

I am a little confused here, so please guide me properly. Which of the following features is a must in a mobile phone to be able access any type of internet (both 2G and 3G) on it? I roughly understand all of them, but further clarification in a simple language will really help me. Thanks

GSM
GPRS
GPS
CDMA
Wifi
WAP
EDGE

GSM and CDMA are 2 different technologies. Both can't exists at same time in 1 SIM card.
GSM will provide 2G/3G internet (2G/3G as mentioned in above post).
WAP is mobile webpage protocol, so it doesn't matter as it is present in all mobiles.
WiFi is external wireless network access to broadband connection, its not related to your SIM card.
Further more, 4G/LTE is upcoming technology, but in India I guess we don't have 4G mobiles.
2G/3G is sufficient in current scenario to access internet on mobile, and you can go for any Smartphone available in market as most Smartphones support 2G/3G now.
