what is Annexe M in ADSL settings?What if i enable this, will my bb speed increase

Hi, Normally i do not know about these settings. But on frequent disconnection of adsl, solution was given to uncheck some previous g.dmt etc, and only enable adsl2 and adsl2+ and annax L.
There is one more option, annexe M, what this means and will my bb speed increase if i enable

Annexe M will enable certain frequencies which will enable little more upload speed.
It is used along with ADSL2+ protocol.
Recommended to enable it unless you face issues in speeds.

Opting Annex M, could it reduce the speed of download, by adjusting with in the download speed.
Suppose, if am getting 9 mbps without annexe M, enabling it , could reduce this speed to 8 etc..

As far as I have seen, it does not change. But it is a complex formula.
It all depends on the SNR and distance from exchange & quality of copper wire/joints.
Best is to check the speeds regularly and adjust accordingly.
As you never know where the BSNL/MTNL start digging and cut wires and reduce/increase our distance from the exchange and reduce quality of wires etc.
