What Happened Here?

What happened to this board for the past two days? This forum was constantly giving errors of too many SQL connections. I guess its resolved now but what really happened?

exactly that. too many users leading to shortage of sql connections. i would perhaps move to a vps later this month. hate to have a problem on a shared package.
