weird problem..wifi modem

hi..recently i m facing a really weird problem. i hav a zte wifi modem from bsnl. d problem is i cannot access my modem settings page i.e.192.168.1.1 bt my net is perfectly working. derz no firewall issue, i've checked dat. im using vista..i've even tried connectin thru ethernet bt still am not able to access dat page..d net on ethernet too works fine...any1 any solutions/suggestions??thanks
 
@members/drunkdevil/Welcome to Broadbandforum.in.If working fine , save all settings , before making changes in the settings,after accessing the modem. Since you say 192.168.1.1 cannot be accessed please post ipconfig/all data.Start RUN type cmd type ip/config/allWe need to know the default gateway.

( in TCP/IP properties advanced )Start/Network/Local Area Network/ PropertiesSelect TCP/IP PropertiesSelect Advanced select WIN see the bottom . disable IPV6.( later if needed . not now. ) How you connect Dialup mode or "always on "what is the ID and password you use for accessing modem ?
 
sorry noobie quest- how to enable dhcp?

i've disabled ipv6

Enable DHCP. in modem. ( sorry not possible now )
Netbios over TCP/IP default. ( in TCP/IP properties advanced )
Start/Network/Local Area Network/ Properties
Select TCP/IP Properties
Select Advanced
select WIN see the bottom .

disable IPV6.( later if needed . not now. )

what is the ID and password you use for accessing modem ?

connecting to Internet fine and able to surf OS VISTA.

yup d settings fr netbois is set a default.. n i access my internet thru wifi(same modem)

..2.or when system is switched on , modem automatically connects to the net ?
...3. Anytime earlier could you access the modem zxdsl 831Aii modem's setting pages ?
 
1.nop i dont use anytype of dialer...2. yup it automatically gets connected when d system is switched on3. yup few days ago i was able to access dat page.
 
i dont think system restore wud help..cuz i guess sm1 mus hav changed d setting in my modem..so any idea abt how to restore original settings of d modem??

open your browser, type http://192.168.1.1/home1.html ( by @onlytest)

Post your LAN ipconfig/all ( not wireless )
Modem Rj45 connected to computer Ethernet port.
Changing modem settings. When you are connected to internet why change settings ? Usual torrents/dialup/portforwarding ?
Which comes first the egg or the chicken ?
Without opening modem settings pages how to change ? That is the problem from very beginning. !
You can Reset the modem and Internet connection will be lost.
Then if you access 192.168.1.1 you can change the settings as you like.
 
hey friendz now a days i m facing problem with my modem...it hangs and net stops working...the blinking status link goes offi m using UT-3002U modem
