Hi guys,

I am in two minds about going for BSNL 3g as of now.

Let this thread be a BSNL 3g Reviews thread!

Can people across different states please provide reviews on BSNL 3g based on parameters like Coverage, data transfer speed, etc...?

Would be great for all of us here..

I was also looking for this info, but i think i would have to take initiative to buy one and taste it.I've heard that there's some USB 3G device available from BSNL, which can accept UIM of multiple operators and not just BSNL, will enquire about this in a day and two from BSNL office and will make a detailed post.

I Have BSNL 3G, well working fine, video call take at least 10 second to streame:wewin::wewin:
 
Thanks jdjain1, 10 seconds is it laggy? how about the data transfer speed? also what about signal?
 
10 sec is ok when signal bar is 2 or 3 , when full signal stregth it ok , then take 3 to 4 seconds, About data, it is well very costly , but i used my 25MB free , and i think speed is like broadband, , I got HSDPA . or 3.5G . overall , signal is good Dude it is WCDMA , voice clarity is like cdma ,
 

GoodVery good speed.Download around 250 KB/sec or 1 MB in 5 seconds in mobile with 3.5G signal.:thumbsup: Bad1.Very costly, for 1 mb download, it deducts around 5 Rs.I don't know how.2.Server down almost whole day.3.Most towers are not working properly.3G signal comes and goes every now and then.4.Could not connect to PC or Laptop using either bluetooth or PC Suite.If any one can connect, please kindly reply.:wall:
 
well in my case , problem is same as above , except signal and network qualityBsnl doing very good job here in Punjab , at least all important towns are 3G enabled , and even i got signal on busy GT road too
 
Thanks for your feedback guys!!! I think I will stay away from 3g for some more time then! I am a heavy data user.
 
Just for curiosity I connect my mobile Nokia 5800 to laptop with USB cable.Checked the bandwidth in 3.5G.The bandwidth shows 931.4kbps.
 
I am uisng BSNL 3G in pune. Not happy with the speed and customer service. speed goes down in the night after 11pm. it shows 5 bars but stil getting 7-9 kbps download speed.Customer service is very poor. There is no online facility to check data usage. BSNL is just cheating people.

BSNL is just cheating people.

Yes BSNL should have facility for checking 3g data usage online like Dataone.
