Vodafone Launches Two Mobile Internet Plans

Vodafone Essar has launched two new Vodafone Mobile Connect Packs for its prepaid customers in Kolkata.Vodafone Mobile Connect 499, priced at Rs. 499, offers customers 10 GB data usage free and comes with a validity of 30 days. Whereas Vodafone Mobile Connect 1400, priced at Rs. 1400, offers customers 30 GB data usage free and comes with a validity of 90 days. Customers will be charged at 5 paise /10KB for subsequent data usage. Vodafone Mobile Connect Packs enable customers to access internet services on their mobile phones even when they are on the move. Additionally, customers can also access Internet on their laptops using their mobile phones or Vodafone USB Sticks/Data Cards as a modem to connect. Vodafone Mobile Connect Packs are now available across all Vodafone Stores, Mini Stores and other retail outlets in Kolkata through e-top recharge.

wow...crazy. does anyone exceed 10gb usage on mobile phones or even on computers while using Vodafone Mobile Connect - i guess the speeds are pretty slow for this kind of usage

if vodafone did not have such a terrible reputation related to billing and customer care, i would probably be using them instead of aircel. hutch was the best mobile service provider in india at one point of time. vodafone ruined it all.

i would have to agree with that, further more they don't even take feedback or learn from other providers the pricing strategy at times

guys i hav xceeded 8gb usage with vodafone unlimited gprs scheme.. And rocking speeds 20-30kb/s.. On pc nd mobile both..

In gujarat vf is the best.. Best service.. Nd coverage..

Good to hear that friend but otherwise for most people Mobile internet is for use on the 'Go', i would have even appreciated anything like Rs.50 for 100mb or around that / Rs.100 for 2gb like other providers give but anything more than this for a normal mobile user is mostly useless

IMO Vodafone provides the fastest speed on EDGE (20-30 KBps) as mentioned above. Even my friends have confirmed this. 🙂

I too get around 20-30 speed on full gprs (netconnect) ... and I pay Rs.199 per month for unlimited usuage ... Although for last 2-3 months I have used it just 2 times on my lappy ...

Does this plan allow to connect to internet on laptop? i.e. does it allow just browsing? or it allows yahoo/msn/skype messengers as well?

Yeah it does.. I am not talking abt vodafone live with which u can just browse on mobile ..I got netconnect which is full gprs and one can connect tp internet on the lappy.. Once the net is there u can do anything 🙂

Dude what plan are you ON... i'm paying Rs.250 per month for 100mb data on my postpaid connection in bangalore

lucky dude, i'm also on corporate plan for voice but the only benefit or unlimited Mobile internet plan we get is for Rs.699. such a waste....

699 is way too high .. we get Rs.99 for 100MB or Rs199 for unlimited ..Voice plans r also quite cheap .. V2V CUG is free .. else V2V local is 10p per minute and 30p for any other number .. STD is bit expensive 75p per min .. But I get 400 mins to V2V STD free .. So tht's more than enough for me .. Also ISD calling to US and Canada is just Rs.2 per min .. which again is very cheap ..

For Rs.249 i get 600 mins to any mobile free + 200sms free + 30p to any mobile. not much into STD but i know it's pretty less compared to normal plans. But for GPRS we have plans like Rs.250 for 100mb .. a few in between and then Rs.699 for unlimited.
