Hi all,
I am going to be back in Kolkata (after 2 years!) soon, for a month or so.
Last time (in 2011), following the wisdom from this forum, I got a prepaid 3G SIM from Vodafone (To use with my Google Nexus S), and was actually quite happy with the reliability as well as speed of the service. There was some initial hiccup while setting up my service, but after that, I was getting very reliable network connection.
Some questions:
1. Is Vodafone 3G still providing good quality service?
2. Does anyone know if Vodafone blocks Skype (audio + video) or Google Talk (audio + video)?
3. What kind of realistic data speeds can I expect on Vodafone these days?
4. Last, but not the least, does anyone know if I can get a 3G Wifi Router that will work with Vodafone? i.e. this router will accept a 3G SIM card and will act as a Wifi hotspot? I saw this product, an R205 on Vodafone's site: http://www.business.vodafone.com/site/bus/public/enuk/support/10_productsupport/wi_fi_devices/r205/05_summary/p_summary.jsp
But have NO IDEA how good it works and how much it costs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Update: Corrected typo (I was in Kolkata last time in Summer of 2011 not 2010)

1. Yes. Here's a snapshot below.

2. No it doesn't blocks anything.
3. I get min. 2Mbps everywhere and at some places as you can see above.
4. How about TP-Link W8968?
