i wounder whether they really have 1.8 M subscribers or 1.8M STB's sold....

don't go with that website count. Its merely the count of person visiting the website , bt surely 1.8 million active subscribers is unacceptable. In recent discussion on other forum it was highlighted that DTH industry trend is going this way only. 40 % inactive subscribers across all operators.
