There is a considerable amount of video lag between a HD and SD transmission of a channel say for example ESPN and ESPN HD.

The lag is nearly 4-5secs. If you watch a football or cricket match in SD, it will be quite ahead w.r.t to its HD.
Previously during world cup time, HD transmission was well ahead of SD.

Is anybody facing the same issue..??

dont think its an issue.......just the way ur dth provider or channel handling the broadcast.

If Tata Sky is charging premium for HD channels, shouldn't they prioritize the HD transmission? It takes away the interest of watching HD if you know the batsman is already out (or hit a 6) in SD :tongue_2:

This is a very old problem and has been there since we got star cricket and espn hd during cricket world cup 2011 ... since then there has been a time lag between sd and hd channels with sd being in front ... dont know why this cant be rectified ...

Absolutely..... as far as I remember during world cup matches HD was ahead. If that is so then definitely its a technical problem and a technical problem should be rectified for the larger interest of the viewers.
