Very Low Speeds

Hi....I am facing a new problem,I took 96 kbps unlimited pack...and during day times(between 9,10 Am-10 PM) I am getting only 4 Kbps,,,but after that i am getting expected 12 Kbps speed no problem....when contacted customer care,giving so silly solutions like send snapshots of systms,(How snapshots prove bandwidth)........My frens 64 and 48 Kbps users r getting more speeds during those hours,,,i bugged up like what is the need for paying extra money for more bandwidth,and getting worse speeds,only sify's tradition may be,If any body facing similar probs plz tell me the where the prob occurs....... And also after every data transfer of 100 MB it logs out automatically...Night every 2 hrs it's a tedious job to get up and re-login.....Even easysisy 1.0 build 57 couldn't keep connection alive........i didn't expect a good org. like sify cheat their customers like this.....Let's wait for a moment to teach a lesson.........

sify openly cheat their customer when they dont mention the hidden limits of 75megs a day and service charges quoted by their CTOs and BAs.

dear soleshunIr ,... u r not the only victim ... I took a 96kbps pack unlimited for rs 995 on 8th JAN and since then the troubles began .... U get around 3-4kbps during the day and at night 12kbps .. this is true .... there is no problem with your system ... also during the night u get disconnected within 2hrs of using the net ... this is also true ...REad my Complaint In "MORE MORE PROBLEMS WITH SIFY" in the forum ..... U will see that I too have the same problems .... It stays that way .... I stay in mumbai ... I talked to a sify Representative in Chennai .. ... he told me that the line was SHARED ...AND there is no way u can get 10-12kbps during the day .... Before buying i had called up 15,,,,,, :blink: yes 15 sify representatves at CUST CARE and they @$$ured me that i will be getting 12kbps .... but they never mentioned the limitations .... CHOR HAIN SAALEY .... BUT WAIT...... i have requested bhaskar the author of EasySify to include a LOGIN / LOGOUT cycle in his client .... say after every 2hrs the client automatically logsout and logsin .... and ur downloads continue .... ...the sify persons will never acknowledge this fact .....

great idea gauravtyagi.but the program must be like that,until the connection won't establish,it shld not give up(it sld not stop)imean number of retries must be unlimited

firoz yes ....that would be great .... but we have to wait before bhaskar releases the new version and see how it is .... It is a beta version so before final we can tell bhaskar how exactly we want it.........I have also requested infernal proteus for this feature the author of SuperSify ............... Lets see how things turn out........

my point is wouldn't sucha program affect programs like yahoo messenger? wouldn't i have to lgin each time when i am using messenger after each login - logout cycle

bhinder .... You could have an option for enabling it and disabling it...........you could disable it when chatting and enable it when downloading in the night.....as simple as that ..... Also You Could Increase the time of login/logout to say 3 hrs .... depending upon what u want ...... I only Hope Bhaskar/infernalproteus is reading this ................................

tell me Bhinder , Bhaskar ,Infernal n all the pplWhat languages should i know ...so that I am able to write my own client ....I know c/c++ thats all .......Could u point me towards some tutorials on languages on net or maybe some books ...

To make a client for Linux you'd have to know C network programming under Linux.As for the clients here, one is in Java and the other in VB I think.Both must be using network programming

Well u need to check ur Local LAN also.....ping the gateway with load of 1470 bytes and see howmany pings u drop.......alternatively try to doenload the BBClient File while logged out....if u get anything less than 150 KBps then problem is in LAN and not in SIFyIt occurs with me all times.....during certain hours of days.....certain dude's comp give collisions due to virus...and other times it gets OK

i finally got logged off by sify at 4 pm .. gaurav, java rules.. you could learn that if you wanna make your own

I heard vb is easiest to learn as compared to c/c++
