Very low download speed for Dataone Home plan 500

Hi guys, I am using 500C home plan..The speed should be 256-2Mbps na.My download speed is really weird..Even if it is some direct download links, I am not getting anything more than 20KBPS.. Average is around 11KBPS only!!!!:wall::wall:..I am using ZTE 831 AII ADSL modem with a PCI LAN CARD...Downstream Line Rate-2044 kbpsUpstream Line Rate-507 kbpsLocal SNR Margin -21.5 dBLocal Line Attn -17.5 dBRemote Line Attn -6.5 dBRemote SNR Margin- 24.0 dBAny problem with the values? :-?I complained to my exchange,they said it might be due to 2 parellel connections.But i connected my modem directly to the phone line coming from the DP Box and still my speed was not more than 15KBPS.Then one guy came here and checked in the phone line for any earthing problems, and that was fine too.... I dont know how on earth I am getting such low download speeds for a 2Mbps connection where I should be getting atleast 100KBPS..

1.Try connection Booster from trafficzapper.com 2.Test speed at speedtest.net before and after use of the program.3. Update drivers for your ethernet card . Is it realtek ?

Yes,its realtek... Its brand new ,i bought it only a month ago....Speedtest resultsDownload speed- 249kbpsUpload speed - 122kbpsTested in speedtest after using connection boosterDownload speed- 294kbpsUpload speed- 222 kbps

I checked in Dataone WebMail . my plan is 500 home.
Usage shows only 26MB total on June 1st..The free hours is empty!!Maybe they havent updated it yet..

hey just check ur telephone cables....if der r any joints clean them up, join tightly nd insulate with d help of insulation tape....try dis nd check d speed den.......dis ll help u..........:redface::redface:

Well, I connected my PC directly to the phone line coming from DP box and still no joy..This means that there could be no problem with my telephone line.Also,the exchange guy came here and checked everything and said its fine...Today,I called upon some of my nearby friends and most of them doesnt have download speed more than 20KBPS :OWe complained to the exchange,but they are saying they cant do anything.It must be some central problem right?

I HAVE been experiencing speed problem since two weeks but not on dailysince two days problem seems to have come backspeed not crossing 120-150kbps in torrents or link-removed..some times its as low as 50-60but browsing is definitely a problem sites are loading very slowyi'm using open dns values

i too faced a similar problem 2 or 3 times but it used to work again within an hour.. in my case i guess it was something wrong on bsnl's side

Hi,I am so pissed off right now..There seems to be a new problem every other day.Right now am typing this using my DIALUP connection, since I cant connect using my broadband!!!!The DSL,PC/USB,POWER all LEDs are glowing and stable, but the INTERNET LED isnt glowing at all...
