Hello, I'm using Tata Indicom Broadband for last 7 years.. It's my only wired connection at home and the only purpose for this connection is for online games so far.Usually I have always had great pings than others, like BSNL, AirTel & Reliance Broadband.For last few days my pings are gone off the charts everywhere, except US East, US West & South American Regions.Currently I'm playing Dota 2, World of Tanks(EU)My older pings to the servers were -WoT USA - 290-320WoT Europe - 170-200WoT SEA - 140-200WoT Russia - 220-280Dota 2 US East - 280-330Dota 2 US West - 300-360Dota 2 Europe - 160-210Dota 2 SEA - 90-200Dota 2 HK & China - 600ms +Yes I was getting 90ms to Singapore server for few months, I was surprised and cross checked it a lot of times.But now everything is ruined and latency is devastating for any competitive game.WoT USA - 290-320WoT Europe - 300-400WoT SEA - 400-600WoT Russia - 350-500Dota 2 US East - 280-330Dota 2 US West - 300-360Dota 2 Europe - 340-400Dota 2 SEA - 550-700Dota 2 HK & China - 1000 ms+Is anybody experiencing same problems with Tata Indicom, my friends with BSNL are still getting their old latencies which are still playable.Usually when game servers have technical problems everyone gets problems, but this time its just me. (My speeds are all fine, I never had any problem with speed.)Please Help, any kind of help.. T_T

Can you post some of the IP addresses that you're pinging? I can check.

Unfortunately I can't provide you Dota 2 Server IPs, as we are connected through Steam Cloud and You can only ping in-game and can't trace-route.I tried using Wireshark to spot their server IP, but there were tons of those.However World of Tanks servers have similar latency like Dota 2...So you can ping those servers.WoT EU - worldoftanks.euWoT US - worldoftanks.comWoT RU - worldoftanks.ruWoT SEA - worldoftanks-sea.comMy main concerns are US, EU and SEA only.Thank you.

These are the ping times - on my Tata Indicom connection on the left, and from my cablewala ISP on the right127 ms 136 ms WoT EU - worldoftanks.eu209 ms 202 ms WoT US - worldoftanks.com126 ms 159 ms WoT RU - worldoftanks.ru295 ms 336 ms WoT SEA - worldoftanks-sea.comI'm on Metro Ethernet.

Your pings are awesome, I didn't even got that close in past.So does it mean I got some problem locally? Will it be resolvable by me or ISP?Can you provide Traceroute to EU & US server?Europe -|------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|| WinMTR statistics || Host - % | Sent | Recv | Best | Avrg | Wrst | Last ||------------------------------------------------|------|------|------|------|------|------|| 192.168.1.1 - 0 | 6 | 6 | 1 | 1 | 2 | 1 || static23-1.dsl-pun.eth.net - 0 | 6 | 6 | 31 | 39 | 47 | 39 || 202.54.10.36 - 0 | 6 | 6 | 30 | 37 | 49 | 42 || 172.29.250.33 - 0 | 6 | 6 | 41 | 46 | 57 | 41 || ix-0-100.tcore1.MLV-Mumbai.as6453.net - 0 | 6 | 6 | 66 | 70 | 84 | 67 || if-9-5.tcore1.WYN-Marseille.as6453.net - 0 | 6 | 6 | 175 | 179 | 186 | 178 || if-8-1600.tcore1.PYE-Paris.as6453.net - 0 | 6 | 6 | 171 | 176 | 194 | 173 || if-2-2.tcore1.PVU-Paris.as6453.net - 0 | 6 | 6 | 164 | 170 | 185 | 165 || 195.219.241.130 - 0 | 6 | 6 | 312 | 317 | 330 | 315 || xe-0-0-0.muc10.ip4.tinet.net - 0 | 6 | 6 | 322 | 328 | 348 | 323 || bcc-gw.ip4.tinet.net - 0 | 6 | 6 | 329 | 334 | 359 | 331 || te-2-1-cr1-muc.de.bcc-ip.net - 0 | 6 | 6 | 319 | 326 | 343 | 324 || 213.252.176.35 - 0 | 6 | 6 | 316 | 322 | 339 | 322 || uc.worldoftanks.eu - 0 | 6 | 6 | 320 | 329 | 346 | 329 ||________________________________________________|______|______|______|______|______|______|US -|------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|| WinMTR statistics || Host - % | Sent | Recv | Best | Avrg | Wrst | Last ||------------------------------------------------|------|------|------|------|------|------|| 192.168.1.1 - 0 | 6 | 6 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 0 || static23-1.dsl-pun.eth.net - 0 | 6 | 6 | 34 | 35 | 39 | 35 || 202.54.10.36 - 0 | 6 | 6 | 29 | 35 | 42 | 29 || 172.29.250.33 - 0 | 6 | 6 | 43 | 45 | 50 | 43 || ix-0-100.tcore1.MLV-Mumbai.as6453.net - 0 | 6 | 6 | 59 | 66 | 87 | 61 || if-2-2.tcore2.MLV-Mumbai.as6453.net - 0 | 6 | 6 | 184 | 186 | 191 | 185 || if-6-2.tcore1.L78-London.as6453.net - 0 | 6 | 6 | 186 | 189 | 195 | 186 || No response from host - 100 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 || ldn-b5-link.telia.net - 0 | 6 | 6 | 302 | 313 | 349 | 302 || ldn-bb2-link.telia.net - 0 | 6 | 6 | 302 | 307 | 315 | 302 || ash-bb1-link.telia.net - 0 | 6 | 6 | 308 | 317 | 346 | 346 || wotus1-slave-123.worldoftanks.com - 0 | 6 | 6 | 296 | 302 | 315 | 301 ||________________________________________________|______|______|______|______|______|______|

Do you think launching a complain can help?There is no problem if you are getting lower latencies with same ISP..Is there anything I can do?PS: I tried to post traceroutes but seems like got moderated.

Doing a traceroute to the WoT SEA server and comparing routes would be a good first step to see if there is something in your comp causing the problem. Upload a screencap of the traceroute and post the link but elect to not parse links in post.

Here are my traceroutes:

and

In your cases, there's a significant lag at the start itself. But even after offsetting those, there's a puzzling increase from your hop 8 to 9 in the EU trace, whereas none for me in hop 9 to 10.

Whereas in the SEA trace, your longer trace is entirely due to the latency difference in getting from Pune to Mumbai.

I suppose it's worth a complaint.

Ok, should I just complain the regular customer care?Do they handle these kinds of technical troubles, because they think If I'm connected to internet I have no problem at all.I just hope they don't tell me to clean my caches and cookies.

First complain to regular customer care. That'll fail but then you can approach the Appellate Authority for your region and petition them. Strictly speaking, your issue isn't really high priority or urgent enough. Ideally, you would want to engage with the competent technical officers but this approach is the best I can think of.

Ok, So at the first I called customer care, twice and I gone through all the delete cookies stuff.
I was totally annoyed and sent a 3 page mail will all the details to customer care email.

1 and a half day later my latency was fixed, like it was before.
and I got this email from customer care.
