Will your broadband work for VOIP?

Can you test if your DSL or Broadband will work for VOIP?

Try this :

testyourvoip.com > Select San Jose in Call Destination

Please send me your test results here for analysis.

Also you can try to check if BSNL is blocking VOIP ports.

type this at the command prompt
tftp tftp.vonage.net get test
it should say successful, 5 bytes in 1 second.

Thanks

Tried the command prompt test and it was a success. However, the test at testyourvoip.com using san jose in call destination gave very poor results - a score of only 1.3.

Tested my net speed at myspeed.visualware.com . It shows an upload speed of 377 kpbs for download and 105 kbps for upload ! I've only got a 256 Kbps connection. However, the VoIP test showed an upload speed of 67.6 and download speed of 377 Kbps.I think for my connection, the upload speed should be around 64. SO its pretty good but may not be sufficient for VoIP.

Hi,I think the speed is fine but not very sure if the VOIP will work. I will try to send you a actual test to be done which is available on a VOIP providers site.Thankskbjkbj1
