or can you tell me another method to see ip information??:redface:

i got the following information

ip address 59.183.167.207
subnet mask 255.255.255.0
default gateway 59.183.167.207
dhcp server 192.168.1.1
dns server 59.185.0.50

is it safe to display this info on public forum??

i read wat u posted....and my default gateway is 192.168.1.1...but it is showing something else in ipconfig....take a look.....and all tutorials about convertin to static assume that ur ip address starts with 192.168.xxx.xxx....but mine starts with 59.183.xxx.xxx

1. Is the connection \"always on \" or
2.you have to dial with your user ID and password to connect ?
reply. If No2 above no need for portforwarding.
Check speed now at Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test mumbai
Then
change in your computer TCP/IP properties .
start /network/ LocaL AREA NETWORK/properties/
SELECT tcp/ip PROPERTIES
Click assign IP address automatically.
In DNs ( add openDNS)
208.67.220.220
208.67.222.222.
Again
Check speed at Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test mumbai .
Any improvement ?
Check IPconfig/all again and note it.

also i changed dns servers......default gateway changed to 192.168.1.1


but y did u asked me to do these things??
 
i changed something on my router page.....n i cant open the router configuration page now
 

Reset the modem. Start all over again. see Post No 4 .ID admin password: utstar or password or admin, unless you have reset the password.
 
Why are you posting same question in different forums ?
You do not have a MTNL connection
If you wanted others in MTNL forum to help you should not have marked my name.

What exactly is your problem with the modem ? post it in BSNL forum.
