Guys this is to help out anyone who wants to use Reliance Metro Ethernet over WiFi with your existing modem router. I was able to get a solution after a lot of research and it turns out it is easy as hell.
I have a Netgear DGN2200 Modem cum Router and am able to use Reliance Broadband using this. Plug in the phone cord directly to your modem cum router. The settings are the following -
WAN Settings -
VPI - 0
VCI - 35
The mode should be set to ADSL2+. (Not Auto!! This is critical and I spent hours wondering why it wouldnt work till I found this out)
ADSL settings -
Set this to does not require username and password as you will have to enter this manually in your browser.
IP Address - Dynamic
DNS - Automatic
MAC - If you have accessed the connection on your PC through the Reliance provided modem, you will have to enter the MAC address of your PC's LAN Card to get this to work. Otherwise, you can let this be the default MAC.
LAN Settings -
IP Address of Router should be 192.168.1.1
DHCP - Enabled
This will pretty much do the job !! Happy surfing !! Let me know if you have questions.
