Earlier, I had a BSNL connection, and I so used a D-Link 2730U ADSL modem+router (RJ-11 as input). Now I've switched to GTPL, and so I'm using a TP-Link 740N router (RJ-45 as input). The wireless range of the TP-Link router drops to "poor" just one floor below.

What I want to do is use the TP-Link router to connect to GTPL; this router is on the first floor. It will then connect to the ground floor D-Link modem+router by wireless (no cables), and the D-Link modem+router will then help in increasing signal strength for devices on the ground floor.

I've spent more than three or four hours searching on Google, but I'm still not even sure if it is possible to set up the routers in this way, forget about the actuall process of connecting them.

Thanks. 🙂
