you mentioned the 'speed' is zero. please check how much 'data' is actually being downloaded. best way is what amish mentioned.what i mean here is that, your upload speed is 20 kBps, but it may not be necessary that it is actually downloading that much amount of data. while uploading some amount is also downloaded. but this amount is very less, around 1-2 mb max for 100mb upload.eg.- a 100 byte file can be downloaded at the speed of 50 kBps. thats what the meter will show. 😉

Well, let me post a screenshot to explain my problem in a better way

Now, as you see, upload speed is almost equal to download speed in the DU meter display.

I have paused my downloading torrents.....you see the download speed in Utorrent is 0

There are no websites opening in the firefox browser as well.

So, what the hell is being downloaded ?

I don't care whether DU meter shows the correct results or not, all i care is about that my uploads are being counted by MTNL (it maybe that the thing is being downloaded is being counted by MTNL)

If i am uploading files on torrents during the day, my uploads are being counted
......i can't seed during the day and thats affecting my ratio

the amount of data downloaded shown in utorrent, is that after you have restarted utorrent and only seeded after restart?could be a problem with the torrent you downloaded? is this on a private tracker? have you scanned for any spyware/adware etc.?
