US Robotics USB ADSL Modem usr8500

Hi there,I have this modem which is only DSL. The Airtel guys told me to configure it as PPPoE. After having done this, I do get connected, but, between 5 to 10 minutes, my computer hangs.My doubt is: if the modem does not have an ethernet port, how could one configure it so.Could someone help me please.Thanks to all

You are absolutely right... this is what I am trying to the Airtel "engineer". However, he insists that I do it in this way.
I need some assistance in configuring it as PPPoATM or some such. Back home in Italy, I had configured my dsl in this manner and it functioned just right.

i used a similar modem once (ZyXEL Prestige). it comes with a little proggie thats all you need to configure. i'm thinking theres a similar tool that shipped with your modem. no CD's with the box? no links on their support site?
