Old news... The UN had tried to convince US to give up the control of the root servers to UN but US had refused...

from what i know. internet is working pretty fine the way it is. maybe if it is democratised, it would start falling apart. US invented the internet, maybe we can let them control it until their is a better solution available.

no...they arent talking about democracy.... They are talking about shifting the control of the major root servers to UN. This will prevent US from mis-using them against any country...

US can anyday handle internet better than anyother country. China will sensor every damn thing on this internet even if a get a say in it adn anyway's UN suxx they are useless now just as was League of nations , UN is bound to be doomed sooner or latter just that Third world countries are sticking with and UN doesnt object to wht US does so ....
