MTNL Mumbai Upgrade of 8mbps to 10mbps

Hi Gurus,

Currently I've the MTNL Triband in Malad (Mumbai), with decent speeds (usually get 6.7 Mbps download and 1 Mbps upload).

Now I am using a TP-Link router: Model No. TD-W8960N. And on the statistics page I see that the attainable rate is 12,724 for downstream and 1,269 for upstream. Is there any way I can work with MTNL to get my speed upgraded? If yes, how can I do it?


The SNR and attn. numbers are below. My current connection is quite stable....

SNR Margin (0.1 dB): 141 33
Attenuation (0.1 dB): 260 176
Output Power (0.1 dBm): 193 130
Attainable Rate (Kbps): 12,704 1,273

Dont try to increase the speed any further...... your line is already on the edge...... any further and you will lose stability....

Always try to have SNR above 15dB for excellent stability...... your already at 14.1dB.....

Sorry to high jack this thread..

how comment on my connection stats I'm planning to shift to cable if not proper and also due to the benefit of DC.
