Updated Reliance Jio 4G Plans from October 19 2017 (FUPed speeds are down to 64kbps from 128kbps)

thanks !

also aren't they supposed to inform users about any plan change six months in advance? lol.

Hmm, so the benefits of the 399 plan remains the same except the validity has been reduced to 70 days and the new 459 plan has the same benefits as the previous 399 plan with 84 days validity. So a hike of Rs.20/month...Not a bad deal. Post FUP data speed has been reduced from 128 kbps to 64...doesn't bother me much coz hardly could do much with 128 kbps previously.

daily data usage limits on the cheaper plans has made them quite useless for a lot of people. stupid plans tbh.

For the Rs 149 plan the data limit per day is just 150 mb, so yeah that is a bummer. But look at it this way, for a paltry 4 bucks/ month extra (153/month) you could have 1Gb/ day data limit if you opt for the 459 plan. Granted, a bit expensive for a lump sum payment but you'll have to recharge after 28 days for the Rs 149 plan anyways.

The 52 and 98 plans make no sense.
4 x 52= 208 , 98 x 2= 196
Instead recharge with 149

The topup plans are withdrawn, this is bad news. Probably nobody was using them.

If you use up the daily quota you have to wait till the next day

yup. for people who were using low value plans to get data on specific days... the new plans are shite.

weekly plans are not targeted towards users who would recharge every week.

postpaid 309/1gb perday/month plan doesn't make any sense compare to 459/1gb perday/84 days prepaid plan,

same with 409/20gb/month postpaid < 999/60gb/3months prepaid plan

According to jio a number cannot be left uncharged.

Minimum recharge per month is 149 as per their original faq.

jio definitely has pay per use charges. as long as you have balance in your account, you can use the connection paying for both calls and data. only prime users are required to continuously charge to keep prime activated on their account afaik.
