Thinking rampant corruption here in India, as I already suffered by wrong selling practices of agents, I went direct to Vodafone stores to buy 3G USB connection for internet facility ( for laptop). One Mr. Hussain at Vodafone stores and Vidhyadhar ( at R.T. NAGAR Vodafone store), gave me option of : a) upto 3.1 MBPS b) from 3.1 TO 7.1 MBPS and c) from 7.2 mpbs to 21.1 MBPS. for different pricing. So I opted for higher speed upto 21.2 mbps for which I was promised good speed from 7.2 mbps minimum to 21.1 mbps maximum, and paid 4000 Rs by Credit card. The same product costed only 999 if it was upto 3.1 Mbps. I was so happy for a while with the kind of speed, that too when it was sold by Vodafone itself. But to my astonishment when I connected i got speed varying from 500 kbps to 1 mbps with full signal. Same was tried in different locations of Bangalore and speed never went upto 1.5 mbps at some spots. I explained this situation to Manager of Vodafone store Ms. Amrita Bhavsar, who promised me to carry out tests, while she refused to show me even one spot in Bangalore where we can get atleast 50% of 21.1 mbps speed. Huawei personal ( hardware suppliers to vodafone) came to my place and explained me about the situation that Vodafone doesn't have speed more than 7.1 mbps ( Gurudutt from Huawei),which is maximum limit. He said even if he optimize the tower signals and congestion it is not going to be better than 7.1 mbps in ideal cirumstances, because more than that doesn't even exists. ( Moreover Vodafone is operating on Airtel network). The Vodafone system is built for maximum 7.2 mbps. When I updated same thing to Amrita she explained me that my USB dongle is capable of speed upto 21.1 MBPS (twisted the story). As she knew internally that her office scammed me by offering higher speed for selling me product worth 4000 Rs which is 4 times more than ordinary one. Meanwhile I found MTS has better speed at same location and better bandwidth. ( tried my friend's MTS USB). Now the same Vodafone store is not even responding my calls and after having visited couple of times they refused to refund or downgrade, as the speed promised me doesn't even exists. I requested Vodafone to show me the spot of their choice if they can get atleast half of the speed what they promised, irrespective of speed at my location, but she did not budge.Vodafone and may be many other companies in India are indulged in misleading advertisement, luring customer with wrong promises and selling wrong products. I was scammed by Vodafone stores and their Staff. Unfortunately Amrita Bhavasar is now not even responding. I am holding piece of junk with me. Vodafone is scamming and cheating customers by giving wrong products and indulged in unfair trade practices to acquire customers. CAN SOMEONE STOP this loot?
