From today afternoon, I am unable to access http websites and pages. E.g.- able to access cricinfo(https site) but unable to access scorecard and stats (which are http). Not sure if related to complaint by IFF. Anyone facing similar issue? Location-Lucknow.

Share one website for testing

All http websites (and pages) do not work.
Cannot ping them and tracert also fail.
Tracert tests for last two

Traceroute uses ICMP though (atleast on Windows) while http/https runs on TCP/UDP. I think traceroute not working and http sites not working are separate issues. I think traceroute is not working because bcci and cricmetric both uses AWS and AWS seems to be blocking ICMP, thats why you can't ping or traceroute it.

I can't traceroute it either:

Tracing route to bcci.tv [54.254.197.159]

But the site itself loads fine https://i.ibb.co/Tb86y7k/oo.png

cricmetric also uses aws which is why you aren't able to traceroute or ping it, they are blocking ICMP. The site itself is loading fine for me.

http not working is a separate issue, likely BSNL is attempting to hijack the traffic, https works because its encrypted

example.com has an https page and they don't block ping. So please try doing a traceroute to the same. Here are my results:

Slightly different issue in that it's not non-SSL websites, but since yesterday evening I'm unable to access travis-ci.org, and any third level domain (with the exception of www) on pi-hole.net (eg. install.p-hole.net, discourse.p-hole.net). These are a couple sites I tried to access but couldn't, and I'm sure there's many more. Everything else though (eg. google.com, github.com, wikipedia.org) seems to work just fine. Is it just me or is anyone else having trouble visiting these sites too? (on Bharat Fibre FTTH)

I just found out there's a separate section for Bharat Fibre related posts in this forum. Do let me know if this is the wrong topic/section and I'll repost in the right section. (also, where's the delete button?)

doh, travis is not opening for me on chrome or edge but it is opening on firefox! looks like BSNL is doing some DNS sneaky stuff now. maybe they are hijacking DNS (transparent proxy or whatever)?

Travis CI website now opening fine for me on chrome and edge also. Must have been a temporary glitch on BSNL FTTH network. I hope they are not messing around with DNS hijacking.
