ubuntu and usb connection on beetel 220bx

wil ubuntu and usb connectivity of internet for modem 220bx work?if yes,wt r the settings i need to make? as during installation automatic network configuration failed and it asks for manual settings?
 
I'm not sure but i think you need to install drivers for the modem and I think there are linux drivers for that particular modem somewhere. Unfortunately, I have no idea where to find them.Sorry.
