OLA already has it. We can book Auto using Ola app. But I never tried it.
However I have seen Autos which can be booked through Ola app are nice maintained and clean, and they also have phones connected to chargers and displaying message "Keep patience, you will soon get customer" (in Hindi). Message is perhaps for driver.
With this launch, not only will you be able to ride an auto without the hassles of flagging one off the street or negotiating your fare. You can simply pay for your ride in cash based on the government approved metered fare. That’s right, with the launch uberAUTO, you can request a ride the Uber way and pay in cash at the end of your ride!
Pricing will follow the fare rules set out by Delhi state authorities.
Fare adjustments are not possible for uberAUTO rides as rides are paid for in cash.
There is no booking fee or additional charge to riders.
You do not need any minimum balance in your Paytm wallet to be able to book uberAUTO.
A valid Uber account is needed to be able to book an uberAUTO ride.
uberAUTO is only available for trips within Delhi. Haryana and UP does not have uberAUTO for now.

Autos are iconic and one of the primary modes of transportation in many of the cities across India. With uberAUTO, we are using technology to offer more choice by expanding the universe of transportation in cities where auto-rickshaws are a staple.
With this launch, while we’re offering another low-cost and reliable option for our riders, the drivers also get an opportunity to work more efficiently–using technology to get more ride requests.
