"Net neutrality advocates no restrictions by Service Providers on content,
sites, platforms, on the kinds of equipment that may be attached, and
no restrictions on the modes of communication allowed. Issue of net
neutrality started in early 2007 when it was revealed that Comcast, a
provider of broadband Internet access over cable lines intentionally
blocked the traffic of peer-to-peer (P2P) applications and gave other
Internet traffic preferential treatment"

"1.31 The issue of net neutrality for ASPs providing services on OTT model will
be dealt as and when required."

After writing them and talking to advisor BB TRAI does this!.Tata docomo openly throttles p2p

OK i talked with TRAI and they told me about the limitation on the internet in india. They said that internet infra in INdia is very young.USA can afford neutrality due to their mature infrastructure. They might issue guidelines in 6 months to 1 year. They found sympathy on throttling p2p connections over other protocols in cases of bandwidth emergency. eg they said that downloading academic papers trumps some pirated movie downloading .They also said that the national bb telecom policy would be enforced next year.SO guys we will have to wait 1 more year.I think we must have a debate session with TRAI officials.Mgcarly should come with us.BTW mg is is true that we are a bandwidth starved nation.?
