Trai to redefine 'Broadband'

You guys should emphasize the *datacap* issue as well in all your mails. We need unlimited/higher datacap (>50GB) plans with better bandwidth. Existing UL plans sucks.
 
hai guys i also had sent a mail regarding to change the minimum level of BB from 256kbps to 2mbps and lets hope for the best :thumbsup:
 
Airtel and Tata have taken easy way out. They have moved out plans below 256Kbs from broadband category to a new category "internet". So they are not voilating Trai recommendations.....SUCKS!
 
many customers in airtel are using less than 256kbps connection they may remove it from their website but without the knowledge of goverment they illegally have tat plans for eg the 64kbps-UL 499 till now exist in TN
 
ok ,No mention of Upload ..our upload speed also sucks .
 

it took them such a long time to state that 256 kbps is the minimum reqd......it is going to take them even longet to define BB with min 2 mbps.....Also all ISP's are short of B/W at the moment.....and the technology used doesnt seem to be reliable either....
 
they shud save time. they shud redefine it to 8mbps directly instead of redefining as 2mbps!if ISP has low b/w then they can call 2mbps plan as highspeed.
 
that would change nothing at all...'broadband' companies would continue to stick with 'hi-speed internet plans' with just one or two 'broadband' plans for unrealistic prices. 😀
 
yes but atleast TRAI wud be able to concentrate on something else rather than making a dictionary.defining 8mbps will also tell ISPs that look, this is what ur aim shud be. provide 2mbps now and start giving 8mbps when u can afford to do so.
 
hi guys even if trai indicates tat 2-mbps will be the min b/w for a BB then tat would take atleast 1 year to introduce in the market 🙁(e.g) now the min BB b/w is 256-kbps but now also tat 64-kbps plan is availlable in tamilnadu this is going on without the knowledge of trai:evil: so dis would take atleast 2-3 years to make 2-mbps as a minimum BB b/w😡 so its waste of sharing opinions about this matter 😗
 
trai recommendations does not mean that companies 'cannot' offer slower speed connections.trai just states which connection can be officially called a broadband one...most companies continue to offer slow speed packages and there is no objection against that.

but i cant agree ur point fully😛 trai has the rights to ask the ISP's regarding the slower speeds offered by them😗

Connection slower than 256kpbs are called as High speed internet connection usually by ISP's ,but they can't be called as Broadband if they are .,then under law they can be prosecuted..hehe
 
Actually all officials no about it:wall: but they wont take any steps or actions😡 as they would get bribe and close the files :evil😱ur country is unity in only one thing and tat is BRIBE:madness: 😗
