TRAI leaks out a million+ email addresses by publishing network neutrality feedback online

just read that trai ended up making all the email addresses public. over one million of them. great job.
 
data mining > spam. a lot of people keep their email ids personal. this is pretty stupid on TRAI's part.
 
Now a days with green initiative - all your investments (MF/DEMAT/Shares etc) are also mapped with e-mail id.

Hence whenever you are reporting anything to government NEVER give your FINANCIAL email.

Otherwise if somebody wants to take revenge - your whole investment would get exposed to them.
 
Some senders have Signature in email which includes name, mobile number, etc details.
Added bonus to spammers. Besides mobile number is also registred for many banks, etc services, so it is also risk.
 

businesses are the ones who use signatures these days. and people who like a shiny email signature :speechless: and sales people.
 
at the time of sending email i knew these a**holes would end up making all emails public :banghead:
