don't think twice.i don't understand why people crib about mtnl. there's no FUP, no hidden costs, you get what you pay for.and about the whole customer care thing - whenever my net goes down (which is rare, if it does, it happens like once in six months) i register the complaint on IVRS.within hours i begin getting calls on how is my net, what seems to be the problem etc. usually there's some hardware/server problem on their part (when they do the upgrades, i think) but whenever it's something wrong with my modem settings, some knowledgeable guy calls me and patiently tells me some new settings. if all else fails, they send along some engineer (happened once).the downtime issues are exaggerated. the customer service thing is exaggerated.i have two connections at home (one for phone+IPTV) and the other for wi-fi. i have one in my office, i use different plans, the usages are different but there are no issues.remember, it's mtnl that started the broadband revolution in india when everyone was doing 56k. unlike some corporate SOBs, they don't suck your blood. they reduce prices every six months (and others follow suit). don't think about it, go for mtnl.
