America is doing it again.

The act is named: The Protect Children From Online Pornographers Act of 2011

What it does is...

Further investigation into this bill shows us that it removes the requirement for law enforcement to get a warrant before looking into someone's browsing history. They need only "suspect" that a crime had been committed. Internet service providers would be forced by law to keep records of their customers' browsing activities for up to a year in case law enforcement wanted to go looking through them. I am fully for porn but I am also worried about the effect of porn on children. I am not sure what such laws would do when American mainstream television itself is full of sex or sexual tones. I am also concerned about the same thing for India where sexual tones is invading mainstream television. For me, restriction in mainstream television and parental advisory is more important than restriction on the internet. The children come to know about sex and porn from mainstream television mostly rather than internet. They probably try to know more in the internet. Every household with children must use parental controls on their computer for internet but at the same time, govts. not only in US but also in India should start rating program based on suitability for children. Right now, DTH is more popular where channels can be chosen and so, the channel and program rating must not be difficult. For example, they can add parental advisories for programs like Bigg Boss or for bikini songs or promos etc. Instead of trying to monitor the internet which is impossible to do, they should instead concentrate on rating and monitoring TV channels and programs for suitability to children. In the US, for example, when a child sees a Kardashian doing anything and trying every sexual trick for some fame on television and media then children and especially teenaged girls will follow her and become a bit slutty. Similarly jokes with sexual tones is quite common on US mainstream TV. So, they must instead rate the programs as per kid viability instead of becoming a policeman of the internet.

What the hell they are trying to do banning pornography on internet. Why these peoples forget that there are grown ups and adult citizen too living in this world. Its always a trend to involve child abuse when some idiotic bill needs to be passed.

this bill is not about pornography. it is about the same shit SOPA and ACTA and PIPA are all about.
