Obviously coz it was shot a long time back.
But they seem to have removed him totally from the promotional material and even from the making of the first episode.
Wikipedia lists both Whedon and Philippa Goslett detailing the controversy... IMDB only has her name as a trivia.

I saw the making and I can see the back of Whedon in some shots but I guess they replaced his interview with Philipas' even though the show's titles still show his name. Anyway, people say that Whedon's career is more or less done.
