THE Airtel DTV HD Experience.[No-DVR]

Hey guys got myself a new DTV HD STB yesterday. The Dealer (Viveks The Unlimited Shop) aswell as the person who came to install were not aware what SD / HD meant, instead they kept telling me yes this is an XD box ... I asked once again to confirm "Is this HD / SD ?" and they replied politely yes its XD.I paid 3k INR to the dealer and the XD ie. "HD" STB was delivered within 2days . This is my second connection as i already own a SD STB. Disappointed with the picture quality of SD channels on my FULL HD Sony KDL55EX720 @ 1080i max STB res. Yet to check on HD channels as Airtel wants me to recharge seperately for HD Channels. Will keep this updated.Any ideas / settings that can improve quality of SD channels? Thanks in advance..
