VDSL. Doesn't look like they offer more than 100Mbps here. Their corporate plans seem to be fiber-based. You can call and confirm.

my father's college had tata tele broadband, it was fiber optic based. Dont know about all locations but atleast in Faizabad they provide through fiber.

If it was college, then it was a corporate plan that is fiber-based. I am talking about their residential offerings. The site doesn't list speeds more than 100Mbps on those and the TOS talks of ADSL/VDSL modems.

Tata tele is for Maharashtra only. Tata play is all over india.
