I guess you used the composite A/V input in your tv tuner for TataSky input? How have you set up your tv tuner to change the channels?

Sorry but I think i am a bit confused at the moment. As far as I remember, TataSky set top box, gives output only via the A/V cables. Normally, we connect these to the TV, and the set TV to AUX input to see TataSky. How are you receiving TataSky in your tuner card via antenna cable?

The Thompson STB has both A/V as well as coax output in it. :)

hmm, ok then I missed seeing this interface on my STB...but, even if you are using coax output from the STB, it would still be emitting only a single channel, like from the A/V cable, not everything, like on a regular cable tv cable, right? Also, as far as i remember, my Thomson STB came only with A/V cables. DO you need to buy coax cable separately? Any quality improvements on using it?

I got coax cable with my humax box only..... I think one get better picture and sound quality by using AV cables... but since i don't have tht cable (with 3 points at one side and 1 point at other) so I am using the coax one... the av cable i got with my stb have 3 points on both the sides...

You don't need any equipment, just a PVR (personal video recorder) software on your PC. Here's an introduction: http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=95214

you will need special IR tranceiver if you wish to automatically change channels on the STB and a corresponding software like maybe girder or Beyond TV

You can googlise (search google) for IR blaster...that way you will be able to change channels automatically with the help of the mentioned software.
