Has anyone noticed this stunt by MTNL. Every morning before 8 am, I notice that the DL & U.L. sync rates are reduced & later on in the day it is brought back to normal (for last 2 days) . Has anyone noticed this happening to them. I wonder if this stunt is to curb DL's at night for 'Unlimited' users, so are they in their ham fisted way doing this en mass to all? 😡

Update 927 hrs: Sync rates restored around 9.00 hrs & I now get https://www.speedtest.net 🙂

Update 1915 hrs: Sync rates reduced again. Looks like they are preparing for the night. 😡

Very true so I rarely speak to them. I directly approach somebody at the DGM/GM level, so far they have been polite (not necessarily competent :hysterical🙂
 
Agree with the observations made by Socrates. I have noticed a similar behaviour at my end. I am on the night-unlimited download plan. If I connect at say 12:15am or so, the download speeds are throttled and I barely can manage say upto 50kbps. This continies till say upto 2:00 AM. Well after this the speed is stable and it peaks to about 200kbps without any disconnects - all good. Coming towards say 7:15 am thats when things again start to go downhill, speeds are throttled down to say 100kbps with frequent disconnects. Of late frequent disconnects have been the order of the day. Something or someone seems to have xxxed-up big time at the MTNL babu's offices. Hoping for better speeds else it is endless visits to the mercy of the babu's.
 
Update 840 hrs: Restored back to normal DL 2048 & U.L. 512. This is the third day, I have noticed this happening. :wall:

Update 859 hrs: WTF reduced again 😡😡😡
 
Downgraded just now :wall::madness:

Update 1828 hrs: Looks like guys at MTNL have gone berserk. Sync rates are being changed many times today. A regular seesaw.:wall:😡😡:wall:
 
This is happening to me since the last 2 days. All is fine till I reboot the modem at midnight. After which, the adsl light is on but there is just no speed. It resumes again around 5 in the morning.
