I see some posts on people being able to watch HD programming using the newer SUN boxes and then I see some people still having problems. I am planning to relocate to India and wanted to know if there is still a problem with NTSC TVs. I am sure my TV supports only NTSC (Sony KDL V5100).

hi..yes .... if u have a hdmi port , then u can.... use dish tv hd set top box....do a factory reset.... install first via component cable...u ll see b/w image...in hdmi settings , chanhe to 1080 @ 60 hz frequency ...and then switch to hdmi port..it works....i also found out these on some forum posts.... google..ntsc to pal dish tv.. u ll find all details...i recently solved my problem...no nedd to buy expensive converters....also dish tv tecnicians do not know anything abpout this...so no point of asking them about the details...
