You can apply and wait indefinitely, since, the authorities themselves are in dark. No one answers correctly. As per orders from highups, after every collection of 20/25 applications, all connectsions must be released forthwith. If they can not provide modem, then they can inform the customer to fetch one from the market. If you can provide your own modem, then you can approach the authorities to check whether they release the connection immediately. but anyhow, they have so far been releasing within 2 months, but they say you have to wait for atleaset 6 months. Cost, speed, performance, value for money, satisfaction, and the feel of speed can only be felt on Dataone Broadband, all others simply suck. If you can keep awake till the wee hours i.e. 2.00 am to 8 am you can pick up the Home 500 otherwise, 900 UL is good. Since many users advise disconnecting the connection at or before 2.00 am and reconnecting after 2.00 with some 10 minits gap to ensure our clock and bsnl server clock differences, and again disconnecting before 8.00 am to avoid all the downloads being billed.
